@ spaceman That won't work. The method described in that post works because the codecs are installed on the computer that is playing the files. You can install xvid and divx codecs all day long on your BASE Mac, but it won't be of any benefit to the Apple TV box... which is the machine that is playing the files. You need to have the codec installed on the Apple TV. Which is what this hack is doing.
