things like these make me nervous. it's already been proven that most cops are bullies. when you give them the choice of how to inflict pain and terror, they abuse that power every single time. Just ask the tv news reporters in Los Angeles.
"it's already been proven that most cops are bullies."
Proven, eh? So, it's a fact then? I must have missed that episode of Mythbusters because I really can't recall anyone ever PROVING that the majority of police officers are in fact power-hungery, abusive bullies (taking from elsewhere in your comment).
Now, I could be wrong, but I have the strange feeling that it's actually opinion that you're talking about. A pretty silly one at that. Just because you know some officers which, in your opinion, are the above, doesn't mean all or most officers are the same way. If, say I knew three people of minority 'a' and they were all drug dealers, would it be correct for me to say it's proven that most people of minority 'a' are drug dealers? ..yeah.. that would be wrong, but no different than what you're doing.
These would be more apt to be facts:
Cops are put into a position of authority, some abuse it, some people hate figures of authority, people are like children, someone has to police a population to keep those with low morale in line.
60 officers from the LAPD metro B riot squad were taken off the streets for abusing their authority and firing rubber bullets at everyone who was moving. Lest ye forget hitting reporters with their batons. If you're close enough to make contact with a baton, you're close enough to see the NBC or FOX logo on the camera or microphone.
