The Jasper Keynote RF green laser pointer: Powerpoint or Astronomy, you choose

If you've been waiting around for the world's first green laser with RF Powerpoint slide-control then today's your lucky day. Sure, sissies will get by with their weak sauce red laser pointers, but any self-respecting he-C-leveler knows that green lasers -- some 50 times stronger than red -- are where the real action is. In fact, Jasper say it's so strong that it's "ideal for astronomy use." See little Billy, right there... that's the cheese I was telling ya about. Ok, ok, we know how sky pointers work, but still. $169 with USB receiving device right in the box.

Yeah, but can it catch your powerpoint on fire?

The Jasper Keynote RF green laser pointer: Powerpoint, Astronomy, or terrorist tool, you choose.
Fixed that for you. Remember kiddies. If you own a green laser you are a potential terrorist.

Wait... how does this have to do with the iPhone???
Redbeard @ Jun 30th 2007 3:42AM
it's "ideal for astronomy use" because the beam can be seen mid air, thus you can trace the path even if it goes beyond what the naked eye can see.

Meh. Get yourself a MAN's laser. Go to www.wickedlasers.com and pick up a Spyder II.
Now THAT'S a green laser!

Is this a fake product? Real Jasper green lasers are made by the Bigha people. There seems to be no connection between these guys and the Jasper Bigna people. And I shelled out my money for this keynote laser and it lasted about a week. I think it's a fake! Call the real Jasper Bigha people and see if this thing is a fake! Do your homework and stop promoting ripoffs!!

Ripoff alert. I bought one. It lasted 1 hour. I don't think it is made by the Binga people, those who invited the real Jasper green laser. I bought two real Binga Jasper lasers and they are quality solid aluminum products. I think this is a cheap plastic knock-off that uses the Jasper name. It comes is a cheap box with amost no instructions.

hmmm nice I dont know if you have heard about techlasers (http://www.techlasers.com) it is more impressive specially when you are interested in astronomy or you can use it for star pointing there are other laser website out there but this website offers a serious competition...
Marcus @ Sep 14th 2007 1:49AM
For that much money I'd rather get the pen sized ones, this one looks like it's a bit bulky.
Anyway, thanks for the post David...those lasers are definitely cheaper. :)
I'll be getting this one from them...http://www.techlasers.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=48
Great deal for only $129... :D

Thanks guys, never would have found this site if you didn't mention it. I've been looking into buying a green laser pointer for a long time but most are too expensive. These guys really sell it cheap, no kidding. Already ordered a 95mW from them. :)

Awesome!

Great tip, that green lasers work so much better than red. But the one you recommend is not the first green laser w/ RF Keynote/Powerpoint capability, nor is it the best. I spent quite a bit of time last month researching this. LaserTech is good, IMO the best combo of quality and price is at:
